SALT LAKE CITY - Highland Cove Retirement Community was recently awarded the 2008 Best of State Medal for independent senior living. Highland Cove was selected from numerous communities statewide for excellence in retirement services and accommodations. Highland Cove will be honored during a black tie event on Saturday, May 31st at 6:30 p.m. in the Salt Palace.
"It is such an honor to receive this award," Stan Ketcher, Highland Cove general manager, said. "Highland Cove has provided 29 years of excellence in senior living to the Salt Lake community and we look forward to many more.
"Highland Cove prides itself on quality care and has maintained exceptional standards with its beautiful grounds and high staff retention rate. Nearly 50% of our wonderful Highland Cove employees have served for 5+ years, which is an industry record in my opinion," Ketcher concluded.
Highland Cove's 2008 recognition was preceded by a 2003 Best of State Medal for assisted living.
Highland Cove, owned by Century Park Associates, offers living accommodations to more than 230 residents. Highland Cove provides a care continuum with independent and Type I assisted living. When we saw the beautiful flowers on our mom's table, we were reminded again of the tender attention you render not daily but hourly. As you celebrated your 30th anniversary, she gratefully remembered the eight years Highland Cove has been her home. We recognize your professionalism and skill in administering to Karla's needs as her vision and hearing declined.
